Expatriate Taxation

PrintMailRate-it

Certain U.S. citizens and long-term residents (individuals who have held a U.S. green card in at least eight of the prior 15 years) who meet certain income or asset ownership parameters and subsequently lose their citizenship or green card are subject to reporting and possible U.S. expatriation tax. In addition, claiming non-resident status can also potentially trigger reporting and possible expatriation tax. We have significant experience in evaluating expatriation tax issues and options for minimizing the tax. For more information please see Rödl Tax Matters.
