Rödl & Partner advises Hengst on its acquisition of Main Filter

​​Atlanta, Georgia, 25 July 2024: Rödl & Partner advised Hengst on its acquisition of Main Filter, a Canadian-American hydraulic filter manufacturer with locations in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada, and Lincolnton, North Carolina, USA.

Main Filter, with over 35 years of experience, will play an important role in Hengst’s growth strategy. Their diverse product range complements Hengst’s offerings, enabling increased local production and swift availability of hydraulic filters to better serve North American customers.

Malte Röcke, Managing Director of Hengst Filtration GmbH which incorporates the hydraulic filter business, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition. “With two new production sites and a team of highly motivated experts, we are making significant strides in one of the world’s largest hydraulic markets.”

Rödl & Partner's U.S. Transaction Services team led by Frank Breitenfeldt acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Hengst. Key service areas included buy-side financial and tax due diligence, deal negotiation and purchase contract drafting assistance. The transaction was completed on June 3rd, 2024.
