Managing Partner Change

After 36 years of service to our firm and our clients, our Managing Partner USA, S.A. de Kock, retired effective December 31, 2023. 

S.A.’s leadership, dedication, and expertise have significantly contributed to the successful development of our firm. Under his tenure, Rödl Langford de Kock grew to nine US offices with more than 330 employees. We extend our heartfelt gratitude for the years of service and commitment to excellence. 

As we bid farewell to S.A. de Kock, we are excited to inform you that Nico Swart will take over the role as the Managing Partner USA.  Having recently celebrated his 31-year anniversary at the firm, Nico brings a wealth of experience along with an understanding our clients’ needs and the firm’s service portfolio. We are very confident that under his guidance, our firm will continue to prosper and provide the high-quality service you have come to expect and deserve. 

Nico is committed to upholding the values and standards that define our firm while exploring new opportunities for growth and innovation. Rödl Langford de Kock remains dedicated to providing exceptional service, maintaining our client relationships that we have built over the years, and committing the same to future clients. The transition in leadership was carefully planned to ensure continuity and a seamless experience for our valued clients and colleagues.
